Elephant Valley Visit
Today my family and I went to visit the new Elephant Valley habitat at the San Diego Zoo Safari Park. Having contributed to its construction back in 2024, it was so rewarding to see it up and running! We stayed and watched the elephants roaming in their large space, enjoying mud baths, scratching their tummies on tree trunks, and wading into the pond. They are such majestic and social animals, and they all seemed to be settling nicely into their new safe and enriching environment.

Art Fest Success
Thank you to everyone who came out to Art Fest today! It was great seeing the variety of creativity at SCHS. From theater, to dance, pottery, live music, and living paintings, there was something for everyone to enjoy. I am so grateful to have been a part of such a fantastic event as this! Special thanks to everyone who stopped by to support, along with everyone that made this event possible. I am happy to say that Sustainable Sweets was a success and we will be donating $350 to Rady Children’s Hospital NICU from just today's sales!

Rady Children's Hospital Internship
As you may already know, my career goal is to become a NICU nurse someday. On my path towards achieving this, I set out to land a hospital internship this summer. Today I was thrilled to receive an acceptance letter to attend the Rady Children's Hospital Medical Academy this summer. Being able to establish a connection with Rady NICU through Sustainable Sweets' charitable donations made a difference and I want to thank you for your support. I'm very excited to have this experience and to become a part of the Rady Children's Hospital San Diego family!

As part of my Genius Project, I will be hosting a booth at the Sage Creek High School ArtFest on Thursday April 2nd @ 3:30 - 5:30pm. I'll be stocked up with my most popular fresh baked treats and gourmet lip balms. 100% of proceeds will be donated to Rady Children's Hospital NICU. Elephant Valley is Open
Back in 2024, Sustainable Sweets donated funds to the construction of Elephant Valley at the San Diego Zoo Safari Park. This immersive habitat was designed to help foster understanding and education both locally and across the African Savanna. Elephant Valley opened earlier this month on March 5, 2026!

Over the past couple of years, we've created a wide variety of Gourmet Lip Balm Flavors. From Decadent Desserts to Fresh Fruits, there's something for everybody. Some of our Customer Favorites are Chocolate-Dipped Strawberries, Tropical Smoothie, and Pink Lemonade. And we've recently added some new flavors like Limoncello, Orange Creamsicle, Sangria Splash, and Lavender Chocolate.
