BACKGROUND & MISSION
Hi I'm Sabina, the Founder & CEO of Sustainable Sweets. I'm also a high school student from Carlsbad, CA.
At Sustainable Sweets we provide small-batch gourmet lip balms, lotions, and teas to sweeten your life! We use clean ingredients and recyclable packaging wherever possible.
We opened in 2024 as a home craft bakery serving fresh-baked cookies in the Carlsbad, CA area. We soon added gourmet lip balms as a fun option, and these have become our most popular items to date!
Sustainable Sweets combines my love of baking and crafting with raising money for charities close to my heart. In 2024, we donated 15% of our profits to the San Diego Zoo Wildlife Alliance® to help build elephant habitats at the SD Zoo Safari Park. The long-awaited Elephant Valley is now open as of March 5, 2026!
Our 2025 donations went to Rady Children’s Hospital Neonatal Intensive Care Unit in San Diego, CA. Our 2026 contributions will continue going to Rady NICU. As an aspiring NICU nurse, this enables me to make a difference right now in the lives of babies and their parents in their most urgent time of need.
